Joshua Truchon of West Allis Nathan Hale WI won the Wisconsin D1 cross country championship on Saturday at Arrowhead High. The victory was a first in the history of the proud cross country program. His winning time of 15:18.3 was about 20 seconds ahead of the next-fastest competitor. The meet was split among three sessions to keep numbers down at the venue, part of a COVID-19 mitigation effort. Next up, he's got his sights on the XC Town USA Meet of Champions, presented by the Garrett Companies, Nov. 15 in Terre Haute, Ind.
